Are you Dressed for Success?

The way you dress says a lot about you! It’s an important piece to the puzzle in the workplace and helps you make a lasting first impression. Imagine for one moment that you could not provide yourself with a proper uniform or training needed for the modern workplace. That’s where Dress for Success becomes extremely helpful.

Dress for Success is a charity organization that “serves under-employed and unemployed women in the Triangle by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.” Their mission is to “empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help women thrive in work and life.” Most recently, Dress for Success has also started to focus helping veteran women transition back into civilian life by offering a host of resources and training. Some of those tools include an interview suit, a resume, and one on one support and access to resources to ensure a smooth transition.

Our very own, Kate Peacock, sat down with Beth Briggs of Dress for Success Triangle for some more insight on the organization. She shared wonderful stories and let us know how residents of the area can get involved in this fantastic organization. Watch the exclusive interview below!

Founded in 2008, the Triangle area Dress for Success has become one of the most successful in the worldwide network of 130 affiliates. The Triangle chapter has served about 10,000 women and counting!
